Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, promoting upselling opportunities
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices
• Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stockroom areas efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining phone etiquette
• Support sales initiatives through suggestive selling techniques and promoting store promotions or loyalty programs

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and work collaboratively with team members
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling and sales transactions
• Experience with product demos, upselling, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations is advantageous
