Duties

• Safely operate a box truck to pick up and deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to verify it is in optimal condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery productivity while maintaining punctuality.
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns courteously.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate pickups and returns, ensuring smooth operations.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory or organizing stock when not on the road.
• Operate equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary to load or unload cargo safely.
• Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and vehicle operation to ensure personal and team safety at all times.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier with a proven track record of safe driving and reliable route execution.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse operations including loading/unloading cargo, heavy lifting, and moving inventory.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and possessing a valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck (including driver certification if applicable).
• Knowledge of route planning tools or GPS systems for efficient navigation.
• Experience operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
• Ability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and physical activity regularly throughout shifts. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, and delivering excellent service with energy and enthusiasm
