Line Cook

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team at The Osprey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling practices.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
• Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Participate in catering events as needed, demonstrating versatility in various cooking styles.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role within the food industry.
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning and fine dining service standards.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
