* Position Overview: Summer Strategy Intern (MBA) *
MP Materials is seeking an MBA student for a summer internship focused on strategy and growth initiatives. This role will provide the opportunity to work directly with the corporate strategy team on high-impact projects that shape the future direction of the company. The intern will gain exposure to strategic decision-making in a fast-growing industrial and technology business, with a particular emphasis on subsector research, evaluation of acquisition opportunities, and assessment of organic growth projects.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on rare earths, advanced materials, and related downstream sectors (e.g., aerospace, EV, defense, robotics).
• Support evaluation of potential acquisition and partnership opportunities, including market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive benchmarking.
• Assess organic growth initiatives, including new product lines, vertical integration opportunities, and geographic expansion.
• Prepare materials to support senior leadership decision-making, including strategic presentations, financial models, and scenario analyses.
• Deliver recommendations and insights to the corporate strategy team at the end of the internship.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Current MBA student (completion of first year required).
• Strong interest in strategy, M&A, and industrials/energy/technology sectors.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial modeling preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a related field.
• Familiarity with industrials, materials, or energy transition sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations.**
