Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Intern to support multiple departments across Salon Service Group, with a primary focus in the warehouse and operations environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to warehouse operations, returns processing, inventory control, business development support, event coordination, and product data management.
The Intern will work closely with Purchasing, Business Development, Events & Education, and Store Replenishment teams to assist with day-to-day execution, data entry, reconciliation, and administrative support. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in learning how a multi-location distribution business operates end-to-end, from physical product flow to sales support and customer experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support purchasing department in activities including inventory handling, breakdowns, replenishment, returns, and stock organization
- Maintain accurate data entry across operational and inventory systems
- Support Business Development initiatives through research, reporting, and preparation of sales materials
- Maintain and update customer, sales, and product information in internal systems
- Assist with preparation and distribution of sales support materials, including weekly sales team member mailings and training tools
- Support planning and execution of in-person and virtual meetings, events, and education classes
- Assist with event logistics including scheduling, packing, shipping, setup, and post-event follow-up
- Track expenses, organize documentation, and support basic budget reporting for events and projects
- Help maintain and update customer databases, sales records, and other relevant documentation.
- Support with entering weekly store replenishment orders.
- Assist with SKU setup, pricing updates, promotions, and product data verification
- Perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy and adherence to internal standards
- Provide administrative support to other internal departments as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support cross-functional business operations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to grasp detailed information on all our product lines
- Experience working with an outside sales team preferred
- Self-starter and organized to effectively manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of CRM systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Analytical and curious by nature
- Valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree or has equivalent experience in Communication, Marketing, Business, Sales or those looking to transition into entry-level multi-unit distribution
