Private ABA School-Based Behavior Specialist

Crossroads Center for Children's school program is seeking to add a behavior specialist to our team of BCBA/BCaBAs

Crossroads Center for Children is a private non-profit Applied Behavior Analysis school located in Princetown, NY and offers programs for children ages two through nine. This position involves working collaboratively with special educators, speech & language pathologists, occupational therapists, a physical therapist, and teaching assistants in the delivery of quality ABA services in a school setting. The school serves a total of about 80 students on the Autism Spectrum as well as typically developing preschoolers who in the integrated preschool program. The behavior specialists are responsible for monitoring student's skill acquisition programs in collaboration with other providers and monitoring behavior intervention plans for those students who require that level of intervention. As a behavior specialist you will be assigned 2-3 particular classrooms to monitor (between 18-22 students; 2-8 of which have behavior support plans).

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that follows a school calendar, including a six-week summer program. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-3:30PM.

Candidates must possess:

• Master Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or equivalent
• Documentation, Organization, Communication, and Time-management skills
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferably ASD)
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills
• Dependably consistent

Expectations of a Behavior Specialist:

• Assessments of behavior
• Training staff to implement behavior plans
• Conduct regular fidelity checks
• Monitor treatment plans
• Schedule and run interdisciplinary meetings to review progress
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
• Assist with parent training
• Provide staff feedback
