Team Summary:

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Staples plays a vital role in protecting our digital assets and ensuring secure access across the organization. As a key component of our broader Cyber Security function, the team works collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative identity solutions supporting Staples' business-to-business operations. Role Summary:

The position of Sr Cyber Security Engineer II, specializing in Identity and Access Management, is instrumental in driving Staples' ongoing security initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and overseeing IAM solutions that guarantee secure and efficient access for all users and systems. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, engage with seasoned professionals, and help shape the strategic direction of Staples' cybersecurity program.

What you'll be doing:

The incumbent will develop, maintain, and enhance IAM platforms and associated processes, ensuring alignment with security best practices and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage user identities, access provisioning, and authentication systems. The candidate's expertise will be essential in promoting continuous improvement and innovation in the management and protection of Staples' key information assets.

What you bring to the table:

Applicants should possess a robust background in IAM technologies, a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, and experience with contractor conversion and enterprise-scale environments. Strong communication skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this position.

What's needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of progressively complex experience in cybersecurity
  • Extensive experience with Identity and Access Management systems within enterprise environments
  • Proficiency in the implementation and support of authentication, authorization, and access provisioning solutions
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and current best practices
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
  • Experience with contractor conversion processes and large-scale IAM projects
  • Familiarity with evolving cybersecurity technologies and identity management trends
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and drive positive security outcomes
