Banquet Bartenders deliver polished, engaging, and efficient beverage service during a variety of events including galas, weddings, concerts, conferences, and VIP functions. In alignment with Forbes 5-Star service expectations, Banquet Bartenders uphold the highest standards of professionalism, product knowledge, speed, and guest engagement.
Placement into bartender levels is determined through an initial performance-based audition evaluation speed, accuracy, guest interaction, and technical execution. Tier level impacts scheduling priority and eligibility for premium event placement. Bartenders may request reassessment every 90 days for level advancement consideration.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Maintain current knowledge of cocktail trends, wine lists, and event specific offerings. Must be familiar with the acceptable alternative item to offer to a Guest in the event an item ordered is unavailable.
4. Attend pre-event briefings to confirm beverage service timelines, bar layouts, and signature cocktail specifications.
5. Set up and stock the bar with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all tools, products, and
glassware are clean, organized, and ready for service.
6. Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and accuracy, adhering to recipes and
presentation standards.
7. Greet guests warmly and deliver beverage service with confidence, professionalism, and efficiency.
8. Monitor bar cleanliness, inventory, and safety throughout the event.
9. Collaborate with Captains, Manager, and bar porters to maintain seamless flow of service.
10. Have full understanding and ability to operate all applicable InfoGenesis POS screens. Able to handle Company funds through cash transaction on the POS in accordance with all Company policies and procedures. Able to maintain accurate and proper cash handling procedures. Ensure there is no comingling of funds.
11. Responsible and accountable for all cash variances +/-$10.00.
12. Must maintain personal grooming and uniform standards per department and Company standards.
13. Uphold proper ID verification procedures and all company, state and local alcohol compliance
standards.
14. Break down and clean up the bar stations thoroughly post-event, following closing checklists and waste logs.
15. Work collaboratively with other banquet staff to ensure successful event execution.
16. Provide exceptional customer service and exceed guest expectations.

Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or delegated by Management to meet the business needs of the property. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
3. Min one (1) year prior bartending experience in banquet, high-volume, or fine dining environments preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology principles.
5. Must be available for variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
6. Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
7. Must pass a performance-based audition for placement on the active banquet bartender roster.
8. Ability to carry full trays, bus trays.
9. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining proper portion control, safety, health, and service standards.
10. Must have cash handling experience, responsible for all transactions in a casino environment.
11. Ability to act in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image consistent with the
Company's practices.
12. Must be able to follow all safety policies and Graton Resort & Casino's standard procedures.
13. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.
14. Must possess or obtain a Responsible Beverage Service Certification.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
3. Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach for duration of shift.
4. Requires manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
5. Requires normal hearing range.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work could be performed in small areas with 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
