Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide (Preschool) to support early childhood education in a nurturing classroom environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering young children's development and learning. The Teacher Aide will work closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, manage classroom activities, and support children's social, emotional, and academic growth. Experience with children, early childhood education, and classroom management are highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the foundational years of children's education in a supportive setting.

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning and behavior management.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, early childhood development, and behavioral growth.
  • Help organize and supervise daily routines including playtime, snack time, nap time, and educational activities.
  • Support classroom setup and cleanup to maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
  • Assist with documentation of student progress and behavior as required by curriculum standards or individual education plans.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles including Montessori methods or toddler care is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with children with autism or disabilities is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
  • Experience in lesson planning related to literacy education, math fundamentals, and curriculum development for young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment supporting inclusive classroom practices.
  • Certification or coursework in childhood development or early childhood education is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Compassionate attitude with patience and enthusiasm for working with young children. This role is essential in creating a supportive learning environment that encourages growth and curiosity among preschool students while fostering positive relationships within the educational community.

We offer the following paid days off for the for school year which ends July 31st:

* 5 sick days (10 sick days in the whole year)

* 5 personal days (10 PTO days in the year)

*Summer break June 29th-July 3rd

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
