We're a small, one-doctor team that values professionalism, positivity, and top-quality care — and we're looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Assistant to join our family.
What We're Looking For:
A friendly, motivated individual who's committed to being a true dental professional.
Bilingual in English and Spanish – a must to best serve our amazing patients
Candidate must be willing to commute to our locations in both Margate and Lauderdale by the Sea. Each day of the week we are in a certain location. This position will be primarily based in Lauderdale by the Sea.
Have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience in a general dental office.
Completion of an Expanded Functions program is a big plus.
Proficiency in using 3D scanners for imaging is a plus.
Knowledge of dental billing coding related to dental procedures is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Able to pack cord and make temporary crowns.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is required (training can be provided).
Responsibilities Include:
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment before procedures.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Manage patient records using Open Dental software.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
Management of inventory and ordering of dental supplies.
Keeping the back office running smoothly and efficiently.
