Duties
- Prepare and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage case files using document management systems; ensure proper filing, indexing, and retrieval of documents.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to support litigation and transactional matters.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized case calendars.
- Perform administrative tasks such as proofreading legal drafts and managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette.
- Assist in client interviews and witness interviews by gathering relevant information under attorney supervision.
- Support the preparation of reports for court filings or client updates while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in multiple practice areas.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks including document review, drafting contracts, filing systems, and case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities are essential.
- Ability to perform detailed research on complex legal issues across various jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with electronic document management systems.
- Effective interviewing skills to assist attorneys in gathering case information accurately.
- Experience supporting litigation processes from discovery through trial preparation.
- Exceptional clerical skills including data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining organized records.
