Customer Service Lead

As a Customer Service Lead in the Bureau of Education & Research (BER) Program Services Department, you will play a key leadership role in supporting our customers and guiding our registration team. In addition to performing all Registrar responsibilities, the Lead Registrar will serve as a resource for team members, assist with training new employees, and handle additional administrative and customer-facing duties.

You will be the voice of our company, connecting with customers across the country to support their professional development needs and ensure a smooth and positive registration experience.

This is a full-time, in-office position with regular hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in our Bellevue, WA office.

Comprehensive and ongoing training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Bureau of Education & Research is the leading national sponsor of staff development training seminars for professional educators in the United States and Canada. Our programs are based on sound research, proven in practice, and delivered by outstanding experts in their fields. Emphasis is placed on highly practical training that can be immediately implemented when participants return to their schools.

We offer one-day and multi-day seminars, as well as video and audio programs. BER is an independent organization and is not affiliated with any government agency.

Responsibilities

Registrar & Customer Service Duties:

  • Answer inbound calls and emails, responding to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process registrations and payments through our customer service software
  • Utilize customer service systems to document and track customer interactions
  • Meet or exceed customer service metrics, including quality, accuracy, and productivity
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience

Lead Registrar Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a lead resource for the registration team, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Assist with training and onboarding new employees
  • Handle invoicing and related administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to escalated customer inquiries and complex email communications
  • Support daily operations and help ensure workflow efficiency within the department

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service or call center experience required
  • Leadership, training, or administrative experience strongly preferred

Salary: $25.00 /hour

Job Type: Full-time
