Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality results in a timely manner
• Collect and process biological specimens, following standard operating procedures and maintaining aseptic techniques
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings in a clear and concise manner
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and patient care
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and following proper infection control practices
• Stay up-to-date with latest laboratory technologies, techniques, and regulations, and participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• New York State Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP)
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
