Job Title: Group Home Manager

Department: Support Living Services

Company Description:

At Building More Futures we are dedicated to providing an all-around community for individuals with disabilities. We provide services for individual that assist in completing daily routine tasks in our group homes. Our group homes were created to that specification that go hand in hand with APD compliance conditions, as well as being funded by Medicaid.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for overseeing a group living situation that could house people with disabilities or individuals with behavioral troubles. In addition to, ensuring that clients are safe, helping them follow daily routines and schedules while coordinating staff schedules and dealing with administrative tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records on resident care, including incident reports and medication logs.

  • Monitor and review the quality of care and services provided by the support staff in coordination with general manager.

  • Plan and coordinates events and recreational activities, in coordination with general manager.

  • Supervise all audits, home inspections by company partners.

  • Ensure a safe, clean and supportive environment is provided for residents.

  • Train hires on work responsibilities/duties and paper work filing.

  • Maintain a maintenance schedule for routine upkeep and address emergency repairs as needed.

  • Participate in team meetings and provide relevant feedback to team members.

  • Communicate with family members, doctors with outside agencies to provide updates on clients or to respond to any questions or concerns.

  • Coordinate medical appointments and any other necessary outside services.

  • Plan, purchase, prepare or serve meals to clients according to prescribed diets.

  • Monitor and maintain home supplies, food and inventory within budget limits

  • Administer prescribed medication as needed for each client as needed.

  • Provide bathing and dressing assistance and personal care

  • Provide companionship to clients when needed.

  • Complete weekly reports for the General Managers.

-Complete client related paperwork.

  • Complete timesheet approvals for team members.

  • Schedule doctor appointments for clients.

Qualifications for the job:

Education:

High School, Associate degree or experience equivalent to degree.

Experience:

4 years of work experience in related field.

Other:

Valid driver's license with no suspensions for the past 3 years.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $24 Hourly

Physical Requirements:

Can carry up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
