Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently
• Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
• Support inventory management through stocking, replenishing shelves, and conducting stock counts
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales opportunities
• Collaborate with team members and supervise experience to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for serving diverse customers effectively
• Experience in supervising or leading small teams is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions with shoppers
• Knowledge of retail math principles for calculating discounts, totals, and change accurately
