At idfive, design is as strategic and results-oriented as it is beautiful. As part of the creative team, Senior Designers take the main stage, delivering exceptional creative work and incrementally raising the bar for design excellence. Collaborating alongside UX, Dev, Accounts, Strategy, and Copy, you'll make all our clients' brand, print, and digital creative dreams come true—delivering clear and effective communication with expert awareness of our clients' brands, objectives, and methods for success.

WORK LOCATION

idfive is located in Baltimore, MD. We love Charm City, and it loves us back. A significant number of our team lives in the city and surrounding areas, but fivers can be found all across the country.

While we love to get together and meet for agency-wide events with both our out-of-state and local fivers, where you work is up to you, so long as it's during our operating hours of 9–5 EST. If you're within driving distance of the office, you may be asked to work from the office as needed for creative brainstorms or in-person client meetings.

BEFORE YOU GET HERE, YOU SHOULD...

  • You must reside in the continental USA and be eligible to work legally in the USA.
  • Have a passion for design and 5+ years of experience in a full-time graphic design or similar role—agency experience preferred.
  • Be motivated to help mission-based clients do good in the world.
  • Thrive in a tight-knit, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Have a keen eye for design with a proven mastery of fundamental design principles and typographic skills.
  • Be proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma.
  • Have a strong understanding of hover states, micro animations, and how HTML will bring our ideas to life—no coding is required , but you'll work closely with our developers.
  • Have proven design chops across web, brand, and campaign work, including high-fidelity web layouts, integrated digital/print campaigns, and concept development.
  • Be comfortable guiding internal and client teams through your work, including the thought processes and rationale behind your decisions.
  • Have strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Have an eagle eye for the most minor details.
  • Proficient in guidelines for web accessibility, including WCAG and Section 508 Compliance.
    Be able to time-manage and successfully work on multiple clients and projects in parallel.

  • Have worked on large-scale enterprise websites.
  • Have a well-rounded portfolio that also includes print, brand, and logo design.
  • Have experience developing integrated campaign concepts across print, digital, social, and outdoor.
  • Possess additional creative skills, including video production, animation, storyboarding, illustration, and photography.
    Loves storytelling and finding ways to bring emotion and heart to your work.

ON THE FIRST PROJECT, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO...

  • Design a homepage or key branded campaign concept for a large-scale university, nonprofit, or mission-based organization.
  • Follow a creative brief to develop concepts that work across print, digital, social, and web.
  • Translate brand direction into layouts for a mix of deliverables, such as media campaign ads, landing pages, reports, and collateral.
    Partner with strategy, creative, UX, development, and accounts to ensure your work meets project goals.

AFTER SIX MONTHS, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO...

  • Own an enterprise-level website design, including homepage, internal templates, responsive layouts, interactions, micro-animation guidance, and dev QC.
  • Lead visual direction for integrated campaigns from concept through production, keeping assets organized and maintaining quality control across print and digital.
  • Design and refine brand-driven deliverables, including campaign lockups, collateral, annual reports, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with other members of the creative team to deliver fantastic work for our clients.
  • Participate in internal and client brainstorming sessions or workshops.
  • Balance multiple complex projects at a time, within varying stages of development.
    Help shape and grow the creative practice at idfive.
