Lead Athletic Trainer

Overview:
The Athletic Trainer-Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality of the AT program. The Athletic Trainer-Lead will provide employee engagement of ATs, and will work towards AT program enhancement. The AT-Lead will provide services of an Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Trainer will function under the general direction of a physician. The AT provides services related to the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, disposition, treatment or rehabilitation of a physically active person who has sustained an injury, illness, or other condition involving sport, exercise, training or related physical activity. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for traveling to area high schools to provide on-site services for practices, sporting events and/or clinic hours, including other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Required Education:
Bachelors degree. Specific course work: Athletic Training degree (accredited program by CAATE)

Preferred Education:
Master's degree preferred

Required Licensure/Certifications:
Florida License as Athletic Trainer

BOC certification

Emergency Cardiac Care certification (e.g. BLS or ACLS) from American Heart Association

Required Experience:
3-5 years On-field Athletic Training experience at high school level or above

Necessary Skills:

3. Contributes to a safe environment for student athletes by following established procedures and protocols

4. Stays up to date on evidence informed athletic training practice

5. Strong computer literacy including Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
