As part of Komline, Heron Innovators manufactures innovative Suspended Air Flotation (SAF) water and wastewater treatment solutions. Through customized skid-mounted or standalone SAF systems, Heron Innovators delivers sustainable and cost-effective solutions that outperform traditional wastewater treatment methods.
Working closely with the Process Engineering team, the Business Development Manager will build business opportunities in both the municipal and industrial sectors through direct sales to end users and contracted manufacturer representatives. The Business Development Manager will provide coverage for the United States with potential for Canadian and Central American opportunity.
Role And Responsibilities
- Generate new opportunities for sales through direct contact with end-users
- Maintain client info and project status in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
- Perform consultative sales and product presentations with end-users through Microsoft Teams calls and in-person meetings with consulting engineers and end-user clients
- Build enthusiasm and trust with representatives to promote Heron SAF solutions through joint sales calls to end users and consulting engineers
- Hire, train, and support contract manufacturer's representatives within covered territory
- Prepare and provide timely and comprehensive proposals of Heron treatment solutions
- Attend and conduct technical sales presentations at trade conferences
- Organize and support pilot testing in cooperation with the Heron service team
- Perform on-site lab testing and work with third party chemical solution providers to qualify and demonstrate SAF effectiveness
Qualifications
- 10+ years of successful sales experience
- Experience working within the water/wastewater chemistry treatment industries
- Ability to maintain relationships with consulting engineers and potential industrial clients
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough working knowledge of process control equipment, separation, and water/wastewater treatment techniques
- Strong ability to build relationships through presentations, listening, and effective communication
- Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter, strategic thinker, and negotiator
- Ability to travel up to 75% domestically with potential for international
