Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.

Skills

• First aid and CPR certification are preferred.
• Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
• Ability to assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for clients.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
