CNC Set up Operator

Aerospace company looking for CNC set up Operator(s). Need Candidates for Both 1st and 2nd shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up equipment from start to finish to produce a First Article part
• Run production by loading and unloading parts into machine
• Ensure production volume output meets/exceeds requirement
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces/parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and fixtures
• Document dimensions as required on in process sheets
• Count and verify quantity and dimensions of raw material blanks before starting production
• Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval to continue production
• Assist with machine maintenance as needed, including repair of all existing production and plant support equipment
• Verify all related paperwork per Job Traveler processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience running CNC lathes or mills with Fanuc controls
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to set-up a CNC lathe or Mill (including work holding, touching off of tools/establishing offsets and reading of manufacturing drawings to produce a first article buy-off)
• Ability to run multiple production machines at once
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Must be eligible to work in US
