Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial projects.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring tasks, conduit bending, and fixture installations under supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system setup.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults.
  • Support the installation of low voltage systems including security alarms, communication lines, and other electronic controls.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Assist in framing carpentry tasks that support electrical infrastructure within construction projects.
  • Maintain organized records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while upholding quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions on blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site safety practices.

Experience

  • Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems enhances your ability to contribute effectively.
  • Construction site experience helps you understand the dynamic environment of electrical installation projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical safety and wiring practices is a plus but will be provided through training.
  • Experience working with high voltage or low voltage systems demonstrates a strong foundation in electrical safety protocols.
