Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our busy independent pharmacy. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and experience preferred. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will ensure that medications are dispensed accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional patient service.

Duties

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Perform intake processes for new patients, including gathering necessary information and verifying medication histories.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare necessary products and maintain a clean work environment.
• Provide patient care by answering inquiries, educating patients on medication usage, and addressing any concerns regarding their prescriptions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in acute care settings.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory management.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and pharmacy practices to enhance service delivery.

Experience

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
• Familiarity with critical care processes and acute care settings is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding patient service and support patient care initiatives.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Insurance knowledge
• SRS Experience preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
