We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and support accurate, compliant multi-state payroll operations.

What You'll Do

As a Payroll Specialist at Balanced Wellbeing, you will play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Ensure correct application of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Review timekeeping records, pay rates, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, pay changes, benefits deductions, and leave balances
• Administer garnishments and other payroll-related deductions
• Support audits, payroll reporting, and year-end processes (including W-2s)
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel data

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Experience processing multi-state payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and wage & hour compliance
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with payroll systems, timekeeping software, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare or multi-site organizations
• Familiarity with payroll platforms such as ADP or similar systems
• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
