The Utility Assembly Technician supports manufacturing and production operations by performing a wide range of assembly, equipment setup, material handling, and general utility tasks within pre-assembly and final assembly. This role helps ensure that production lines run efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards.

Utility Assembly Technician

Your main responsibilities will be:
Pre-Assembly Duties

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and work instructions for ventilation unit components.
  • Assemble stator and rotor components according to detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and established procedures
  • Follow all ESD protocols, including proper use of wrist straps, mats, and grounding techniques
  • Use hand tools, torque devices, and measuring instruments to perform accurate and safe pre-assembly tasks
  • Conduct visual and functional inspections of completed units to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or process deviations to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company policies, 6S principles, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient workflow and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Final Assembly Duties

  • Assemble various industrial fan products in accordance with detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and established procedures.
  • Use hand tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments to perform precise assembly tasks.
  • Conduct visual and functional inspections of completed units to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or process deviations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company policies, 6S principles, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient workflow and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
  • Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills.
