Landscape Laborer/Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and other vehicles safely to transport tools, materials, and team members to job sites.
• Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees and shrubs, laying sod, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways.
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy turf and vibrant gardens.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree care, irrigation system installation and repair, and snow plowing during winter months.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete landscaping projects efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain equipment through routine inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Support construction tasks involving excavation with equipment like excavators or other machinery as needed.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with landscaping machinery, hand tools, or heavy equipment.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools effectively.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree trimming.
• Ability to handle various hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes confidently.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance for healthy landscapes.
• Experience with snow plowing operations during winter seasons to ensure safe access for clients.
• Strong understanding of construction processes related to outdoor projects involving excavation or hardscape work.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients when necessary.
