Warehouse Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse management experience, and proficiency with logistics systems. This role is vital in maintaining optimal inventory control, streamlining processes, and supporting the overall distribution functions within a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Leader will play a key role in supervising team members, managing materials handling activities, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee inventory management, including accurate tracking and control using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling.

• Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse workflows and reduce costs.

• Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for materials handling and stock movement.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support shipping schedules, order processing, and logistics planning.

• Train and develop team members on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a distribution or logistics environment.

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and warehouse distribution processes.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices in materials handling.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is desirable.
• Experience with logistics planning, shipping & receiving procedures, and e-commerce fulfillment is preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process improvement initiatives.
