Key responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized occupational therapy to children to help them achieve their functional goals. You will use evidence-based practices to design and implement therapy sessions that address each child's unique needs.
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Your input and teamwork will be essential in creating comprehensive and holistic care plans.
  • Conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining organized and accurate documentation. Keeping detailed records ensures that progress is tracked and interventions are adjusted as needed.
  • Working closely with school staff to ensure seamless integration of therapeutic interventions within the educational setting. Your role will help bridge the gap between therapy and education, promoting overall success for the child.
  • Maintaining 23-25 billable hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Maryland or DC.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills that enable effective collaboration with a diverse team of professionals. Communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
