Summary/Objective:
This position is responsible for providing support to resident-initiated activities and committees, in addition to planning and facilitating a wide variety of creative programming.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and facilitates a variety of programs to include special events, parties, socials, entertainers, dances, presenters, and outings.
- Maintains room schedules for Club Center and Activities Building allowing adequate time for events to include set up and breakdown. Confirms schedule with event host and provides necessary instructions and assistance.
- Creates and posts communication of events via applicable mediums in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains up-to-date content on digital platforms regarding events, room availability, and program coordination in a timely and dependable manner.
- Ensures the room is comfortable based on temperature and set up and adjusts as appropriate. Returns the room to previous orderly condition and layout.
- Sets up and operates audio/visual equipment as needed. Stays abreast of changing technology to request timely updates. Troubleshoots audio/visual equipment when necessary and serves as primary contact for audio/visual equipment support.
- Plans and schedules trips. Communicates details to ensure resident safety and accessibility.
- Responsible for planning and overseeing memorial services, Memorial Grove ceremonies and the annual service in coordination with residents and family members.
- Coordinates in advance, with various departments to request services for events.
- Works with outside vendors to obtain supplies, services, equipment, entertainment, and other resources as needed. Submits all invoices in a timely manner.
- Ensures all furniture and equipment is in good condition and working order. Place work orders as needed and see requests through to completion.
- Performs administrative and clerical duties.
- Participates in various committees as appropriate.
- During slower times, ensure spaces are neat and organized, organize computer, create new systems to improve service provision.
- Assists within Resident Life upon request.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in a Human Service field or Recreational Therapy preferred; two (2) to four (4) years activity programming experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license. Incumbents should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, various office, and audio/visual equipment.
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
