1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a full time Relationship Manager to support our Gloucester Branch. Scheduled hours will be 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
This Relationship Manager is responsible for overall performance of retail branch production to include service, sales and operational integrity. Provide leadership to assigned branch colleagues through direct management, coaching, and developing skills that are necessary to achieve targeted performance results that contribute to the overall performance of the credit union. Active lobby management to identify efficiencies and opportunities.

Relationship Manager Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and coaching to branch colleagues for sales and service performance, identifies sales opportunities, and achieves results on an individual and branch level. Acts as a trusted advisor by consulting, recommend and close credit union products and services.
- Assumes responsibility for overall performance of branch output through active management of FSRs, MSRs, Universal MSRs and Assistant Managers. Performance accountabilities and responsibilities to include service, sales, and operational integrity of all colleagues. Actively reviews reports and transactions to identify trends. Consistently achieve challenging personal sales/relationship goals. Develops relationships with sales partners, through join efforts and SLA's.
- Successfully delivers behavioral coaching though various methods and channels. Has schedule monthly coaching meetings as well as on the spot coaching sessions. Conducts performance appraisals and corrective coaching as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for overall execution of credit union policies throughout the branch. Ensures compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies. Familiar with general human resource policies and procedures such as FMLA and employee conflict resolution, and how they impact retail branch management.
Performance Measurements:
- Continue reinforcing a retail sales culture whereby colleagues recognize sales opportunities via listening and identifying member needs and are motivated to cross-sell products and services that fulfill those needs.
- Develop and maintain a profitable book of business, both through internal and external channels.
- Ensures that branch leadership demonstrates and role models' individual success by contributing individual production to help achieve overall branch goals, quality member service and operational integrity.
- Ensures that branch colleagues achieve success through branch management coaching and leadership; and that all colleagues contribute toward achieving individual and branch goal while maintaining first in class member service.
- Encourage innovation and the empowerment of colleagues to take ownership of member complaints and not only resolve the issue but turn the situation into an outstanding service experience.
- Assist Retail Regional Directors with long and short-term credit union planning. Develop and recommend strategies and tactics to achieve organizational goals and strategies within the assigned region. Assign sales goals to individual platform colleagues in an equitable distribution, considering colleague position, abilities, experience, and opportunity.
- Executes established goals and coordinates their implementation with other departments and retail staff.
- Proactively demonstrates the 1st Advantage FCU core values of accountable, adaptable, driven, dependable, and fun.
Qualifications:
Experience Minimum of three years of management experience. Minimum of three years of related experience in a full-service financial institution.
Education Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in relevant field) or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing, or training others. Outside contact become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit and lending programs within the Credit Union. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to persuade others as well as build consensus. Strong project management skills. Ability to act as a role model in developing coaching, leadership, dependability and business development skills. Demonstrated ability in conducting sales meetings and providing one-on-one coaching to enhance performance. Ability to think critically and set strategic direct for a retail team. Demonstrated ability to negotiate, make cold calls, solve problems, and relate to people at all levels. Proven ability to develop and maintain a profitable book of business both through internal and external channels. Ability to use personal computer software applications, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.

Average Hearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Finger Dexterity - Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together.
Repetitive Motion - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities - Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products or operate machinery.
Physical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 25lbs. of force occasionally (Almost all office jobs).
