WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Controls Governance and Reporting under the newly formed Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) – the Senior Manager, Senior Reporting Lead is accountable for delivery of data-driven, automated, and executive ready-enterprise risk reporting and dashboards. The Senior Reporting Lead plays a critical role in supporting broader strategic coordination and governance efforts through delivery of reporting that enables cross-platform risk visibility, supports executive decision making, and advances ECCO's commitments.
The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is a centralized first line of defense (1LOD) group with the goal of embedding a culture of risk ownership and operational excellence to elevate the control environment. They do this by driving consistency and quality of risk practices to minimize loss and regulatory sanction, drive cost efficiencies, and accelerate project execution to enable growth. The Practice Management team serves to coordinate and drive consistency across 1LOD risk identification, controls, issue management, and non-financial-risk management practices.
Enterprise Risk Reporting (40%), Automation and Dashboard Development (30%), Insights Generation and Data Analytics (30%)
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
1. Enterprise Risk Reporting
Oversee the design and delivery of comprehensive enterprise-level risk and control reports, including consolidation of risk and control data from across 1LOD to support strategic and regulatory reporting needs
Provide strategic direction on reporting structure and content to ensure relevance, clarity, and alignment with CCO priorities
Lead the development and refresh of key risk and performance indicators in collaboration with data and control partners, ensuring alignment to enterprise metrics and evolving risk themes
2. Automation and Dashboard Development
Design and implement automated reporting solutions using tools such as Tableau, driving efficiency and scalability in reporting practices; integrate data visualization best practices to improve clarity and accessibility of enterprise reporting
Champion automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting efforts and increase responsiveness to emerging priorities
3. Insights Generation and Data Analytics
Analyze risk trends and emerging issues to generate insights that enhance ECCO decision making
Produce materials to support ECCO forums and executive-level meetings including regular dashboards and metrics
Provide guidance on structuring and interpreting risk data to enable consistent and effective storytelling, providing clear and actionable insights
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science or another related field
Proven track record of leading teams focused on data reporting, operational risk analytics, or business intelligence within the financial services industry
Demonstrated experience in automating reporting processes, data visualizations, and building executive dashboards; excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and present complex data in a clear, concise format for executive audiences
5+ years of hands-on experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Python, SQL Power BI, VBA, MS Excel, MS Access)
Demonstrated ability to maintain and administer databases using platforms like Microsoft SQL
Server, Teradata SQL Assistant, Postgres, Snowflake, and similar systems, including ETL (extract, transform, load) process
Nice-to-have :
Master's degree in related discipline, technical certifications in data analytics
Proven ability to work across teams (Risk, Technology, Compliance, Business) to gather inputs and align reporting outcomes, and constantly seek opportunities to improve data sourcing, visualization, and consumption; skilled in structuring and presenting complex data in a way that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong understanding of operational risk and control data, including KRIs, RCSAs and issue tracking, and understanding of how these tie to broader regulatory and performance expectations
Experience leading AI deliverables (e.g. Product Owner/Development)
