We are excited to be apart of an after-school tutoring program and are seeking motivated tutors who live near the North Miami area—or are willing to commute there.

Applicants for this role must be available to tutor in person at the North Miami school campus and complete an in-person interview at our Coral Gables office.

Tutor Qualifications / Requirements

• Preferred: prior experience tutoring or teaching academic subjects (math, reading, science, writing, etc.)
• Must be able to work in person at school campus
• Willing to attend the interview in person at our Coral Gables office
• Comfortable commuting to North Miami and completing a finger printing and background check
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Punctual, organized, and reliable
• Ability to create custom homework assignments when needed
• Able to locate or gather additional materials if company resources run low
• Capable of working independently and adapting quickly to student needs
• Comfortable with both in-person and virtual tutoring environments

Job Responsibilities

• Provide academic tutoring for middle or high school students in various subjects
• Work directly with students on campus in the after-school program
• Create homework or practice assignments aligned with student goals
• Use company-provided curriculum and supplement with outside materials when necessary
• Track student progress, challenges, and academic growth
• Build trust and rapport to motivate students and strengthen study habits
• Communicate clearly with parents, students, and school staff
• Submit brief session notes after each tutoring session
• Come prepared with all materials so sessions run efficiently

Compensation

• Starting at $30/hr
• Part-time | Contract
• Afternoon availability
• Flexible hours + potential to take on additional remote students

Work Setting

• In-person at the school for the after-school program
• Potential for additional remote or in-office tutoring
• Interview takes place in person at our Coral Gables office
