Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-OB-GYN

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at IU Health North in Carmel, IN. In this inpatient and outpatient setting, you will work collaboratively with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to a diverse population of adolescent and women of all ages.

Position Details:

• Full-time, Days
• Monday-Friday 8-hour days
• No weekends, holidays, or call
• 10% Outpatient
• 90% Inpatient
• Procedures include IUD insertions, Birth control implant insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, Incision & drainage
• Patient volume in office: 60-80/week

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for OB/GYN patients
• Testing and Diagnostics: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
• Documentation: Accurately documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care in electronic medical records
• Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
• Follow-up: Providing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Collaboration: Working closely with physician and collaborators and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a focus on women's health or OB/GYN or Physician Assistant (PA) with OB/GYN outpatient experience
• At least 1-3 years of clinical APP experience working in Women's Health / OBGYN required.
• Ideal candidates will have experience in OB/GYN outpatient setting or family practice with gynecological experience.
• Active state licensure and certification
• Strong clinical skills and experience in an OB/GYN setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient centered care
• New Grads must have experience in labor and delivery is a must. Experience in inserting IUD and implants
• Experience in OBGYN
