POSITION OVERVIEW
Ever Well Health is searching for a caring and compassionate Therapeutic Services Driver to join our growing team. We at Ever Well Health have made a commitment to provide superior care through thoughtful and empathetic treatment for adults experiencing significant mental or emotional issues.
The Therapeutic Services Driver (TSD) provides 1) milieu support, 2) transportation of residents to scheduled medical/specialty appointments, 3) coordination and transportation for scheduled events/outings, and 4) performs other activities to contribute to the best possible physical and mental well-being of our residents. The TSD duties emphasize prevention and supportive use of critical language. The employee works with individuals and groups to promote optimal mental, physical, and emotional health by providing safe and supportive transportation of residents. The TSD is responsible to communicate clear concise information between treatment providers and EWHS Medication and Administration staff prior and after all transports. The TSD may work with facility residential staff to assist with day-to-day milieu support tasks. With advanced training and experience the TSD may help individuals cope with addictive and substance use triggers; improve family involvement; reduce anxiety and stress; develop better self-esteem; and assist senior-level staff with resident issues associated with aging, developmental disability, and mental health.

- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
"What You Will Do"
- Aids and supports to residents in all areas of daily living, working individually and in groups. This will include appropriately prompting, escorting and supervising and assisting residents both in small groups and one on one if necessary. *
- Transport residents in agency vehicle to scheduled medical/specialty appointments. This includes taking all required documents, assisting the resident throughout the appointment, assisting them to return to the facility.
- Use established protocols and procedures for all confidential communications regarding medication or care related updates, including follow up from all completed appointments.
- Collaborates with Medication Services Assistant to coordinate and schedule appointments for routine medical care, and specialty appointments.
- Coordinate with Therapeutic Activities and Behavioral Health Staff to transport residents for facility planned outings or events.
- Coordinate with Residential Services to ensure residents are ready to go out into the community.
- Reminds residents of their medical appointments and may assist residents with their self-administered medications.
- Leads and engages residents in planned group activities, outings, etc. with supervision. *
- Encourages and engages residents to use strategies to help manage a mental health condition (behavior, symptom, etc.). For example: (anxiety) redirect residents and show unconditional positive regard, (paranoia) use distraction and clear language
- Attends and participates in staff, program, facility and training as required. *
- Assures facility, resident and program areas are clean, organized, and safe. *
- Attends shift crossover and is prepared to report on observed resident needs (behaviors, symptoms, or concerns) as well as relevant, non-confidential updates from completed medical appointments.
- Assures daily documentation and other resident paperwork is completed as directed.
- Performs emergency first aid in emergency situations as needed.
- Reports suspected abuse or other incidents according to trained and established procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION & SKILLS
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
- Three (3) years general work experience required. Two (2) years in a residential or other care facility setting, and one (1) year working in a mental health setting required. Appropriate volunteer and internship experience will be considered.
- One (1) year of supervisory or lead experience in any paid work setting preferred.

- Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work Legally in the United States.
- Ability to read and understand documents, write simple memos, reports, and letters, speak effectively with residents, customers or other employees.
- Ability to engage and communicate with residents in an empathetic manner.
- Tact and diplomacy when working with vendors and all outside parties.
- Ability to work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, and disabilities.
- Ability to follow directions and work within a program and systems structure.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and emergency situations.

REQUIRED - CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report
- First Aid Certificate
- Must be able to provide Proof of Eligibility to Work legally in the United States
REQUIREMENTS - PHYSICAL
- Walking, Sitting, Pinching and Finger Flexion, and Visual/Auditory Acuity are required constantly (over 2/3 of the workday)
- Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, Bending, Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling and Twisting are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday)
- Balancing, Climbing and Crawling are generally not required
