The Administrative Assistant facilitates the assigned department's efficient operation by performing various clerical and administrative tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior administrative staff with data entry and report editing.
  • Managing multiple deadlines and maintaining filing systems as assigned.
  • Make edits for formatting, clarity, punctuation, grammar, and structure of reports and proposals to company standards.
  • Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions.
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, emails, and other related documents.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Welcomes and directs visitors and clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and positive personality, with a great work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Microsoft Word (35 WPM)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Three to five years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Associate degree (
    Preferred
    )
  • Experience in Geotechnical, Environmental, or Construction Materials Testing (
    Preferred
    )

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
