Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly suggestions.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings to provide informed recommendations.
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes accurately.
• Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
