Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of property management regulations. This role is vital in maintaining positive relationships with residents, ensuring property compliance, and supporting the overall success of our community. The Community Manager will be responsible for managing leasing activities, coordinating maintenance, and fostering a welcoming environment for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Manage leasing processes including property tours, application screening, and lease signing, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Oversee tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts through effective conflict management strategies, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Administer property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to track resident information, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management activities to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, lease contracts, and renewal agreements.
- Conduct data entry, filing, and record keeping to ensure accurate documentation of all property-related activities.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to residents to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with leasing agents and sales teams to promote available units and increase occupancy rates through effective negotiation and customer relationship management.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations including LIHTC, Fair Housing laws, and other legal requirements governing property management.
- Assist in preparing reports related to occupancy rates, maintenance issues, and resident feedback for senior management.
Skills
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in LIHTC, Section 8, Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, and Contracts.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, CMMS systems, and general office applications.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Experience in leasing operations, sales techniques, upselling strategies, and facilities management.
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures related to leases, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills including data entry, filing systems, and record keeping.

Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
