The Opportunity: Personal Trainer & Strength Coach

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Personal Trainer & Strength Coach to join our growing team. In this dual role, you'll be instrumental in guiding our clients toward their strength, mobility, and body recomposition goals through expert program design and hands-on coaching. Beyond the gym floor, you'll also be a key voice for Capital Strength and Conditioning, creating engaging and positive content for our Instagram and Facebook platforms. If you have a deep passion for strength training, a strong understanding of biomechanics, and a knack for inspiring others, we want to hear from you

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough individual assessments to understand clients' fitness levels, movement patterns, and specific goals.
  • Design and implement customized, progressive training programs rooted in principles of strength, mobility, and body recomposition, utilizing various exercises and techniques, especially barbell movements.
  • Provide expert guidance on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safety protocols during one-on-one and small group sessions.
  • Monitor client progress through regular evaluations and adjust programs as necessary to ensure continued success.
  • Offer practical nutritional advice and lifestyle coaching to support clients' overall health and wellness journeys.
  • Lead dynamic and motivating group fitness classes as needed, fostering a positive and engaging environment for all participants.
  • Create consistent, positive, and engaging social media content (including videos, photos, and captions) for Capital Strength and Conditioning's Instagram and Facebook platforms to showcase our expertise and client successes.
  • Help promote personal training services through effective sales strategies within our facility, contributing to client acquisition and retention.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout area, ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, research, and certifications in personal training, strength and conditioning, and social media best practices.

Requirements

  • Professional Coaching Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on professional coaching or training experience is essential.
  • Certifications: A current, active Personal Training Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA, ACSM).
  • Expertise in Strength Training: Genuine passion and deep expertise in barbell and general strength training, along with a strong understanding of biomechanics and anatomy.
  • Program Design Knowledge: Strong knowledge of program design principles, body mechanics, and exercise physiology.
  • Communication & Motivation: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct, powerfully motivate, and genuinely inspire clients of all levels.

Preferred (Bonus Skills):

  • Experience in sports coaching or leading group fitness instruction.
  • Sales experience in fitness or health club environments.
  • Client-Focused Attitude: A true passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals.
