Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, with a minimum of 2yrs behind the bar. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, along with strong time management skills, are essential for success in this role.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their overall experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
• Manage cash handling and perform cashiering duties accurately
• Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety
• Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service and catering needs when required
• Uphold food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Assist in setting up and breaking down bar areas for events such as private parties
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environment
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing tabs accurately
• Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within legal guidelines. A Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Training certification card is required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
