Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, following established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements for dishes based on customer feedback and culinary trends
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning to minimize waste and maximize freshness
• Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently managing multiple orders while maintaining quality
• Participate in food industry best practices including proper knife skills, food handling, and meal preparation techniques
• Collaborate with servers and other staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent food service experiences

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Background in restaurant or fine dining environments with strong culinary experience
• Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols
• Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent knife skills combined with a thorough understanding of food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary field is preferred
