About the Role
We're hiring a Residential Construction Manager to oversee a portfolio of active residential builds and lead a team of 5–7 Project Managers. This is a leadership role focused on ground-up residential homes—not commercial construction. You'll own execution quality, schedule discipline, and PM performance across multiple projects while partnering closely with ownership to maintain standards, margins, and client experience as volume scales. This role is for someone who has already lived inside residential construction, knows where projects fail, and can enforce consistency without living in spreadsheets.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable 5–7 Residential Project Managers
- Oversee multiple concurrent ground-up residential home builds
- Enforce build standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
- Review project timelines, change orders, budgets, and risk items
- Serve as escalation point for PM issues, trades, and critical path delays
- Ensure consistent execution across field teams, vendors, and subs
- Drive schedule adherence, cost control, and margin protection
- Partner with ownership on capacity planning and operational improvements
- Maintain a high bar for professionalism, communication, and site standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential construction management (required)
- Experience overseeing multiple Project Managers simultaneously
- Strong understanding of residential build sequencing and critical path
- Comfortable leading field teams and holding tough accountability conversations
- Ability to spot problems early and intervene decisively
- Organized, decisive, and execution-focused
- Commercial construction background alone is not a fit

Pay range and compensation package
Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 base + performance bonus
