The Role

Veterinary Assistants at PetVet365 are essential members of the care team. You'll do more than keep pets safe and comfortable — you'll help create a calm, Fear Free experience for patients, support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.

What You'll Do

• Champion Fear Free: Ensure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for throughout their visit.
• Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Care for patients through feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring.
• Keep hospital areas clean, sanitized, and organized to the highest standards.
• Assist with medications and restraint when needed.
• Communicate with clients, help with check-ins, and provide discharge support.
• Maintain accurate records and report any unusual behaviors or health concerns.
• Partner with teammates to foster a positive, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fear Free Certification (training and certification provided if not already certified).
• Experience working with animals (2 years as an assistant preferred, not required).
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with digital systems and recordkeeping.
