Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants/Medication Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in our assisted living facility. Position hours are 7pm-7am Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, taking meds as prescribed and meal ambulation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate techniques for safety.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to promote company safety requirements
• Support clients with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and other specialized needs as required.
• Document appropriately in charts, notes and communication books for all facility business.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Assisted living or nursing home settings
• Hospital environments or acute care facilities
• Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Memory care or Alzheimer's care settings
• Home care services providing personal assistance to seniors or individuals with chronic illnesses

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, emotional disorders conflict resolution, and a common familiarity with medical office procedures. A background in caregiving is essential, along with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while respecting client dignity and privacy.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
