Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, establishing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, special requests, and provide menus with enthusiasm
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations as needed
• Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Monitor dining area to uphold cleanliness, comfort, and safety standards throughout service hours
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
• Support the team during busy periods by assisting with guest services or light hospitality duties as required

Skills

• Proven experience as a Host/Host or in food service hospitality roles
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant operations
• Exceptional phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Strong guest relations skills, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed and appreciated
• Experience in serving or hotel guest services is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
