Senior Network Information Security Engineer

Purpose & Scope:

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's network security infrastructure. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant connectivity across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The engineer will implement industry best practices, maintain network visibility, respond to incidents, and partner with IT and security teams to safeguard sensitive data and critical systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field is required.

Master's degree is preferred.

Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of education requirement.

Experience:

• 5+ years hands-on experience with network engineering and network security.
• Proficiency in firewall management (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or Check Point).
• Experience with IDS/IPS, NAC (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass), VPNs, and secure routing/switching.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and TLS/SSL encryption.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments

Certification/Licensure:

Industry certifications are preferred.
