About The Role

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team at Coinbase. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging data analytics, experimentation, and advanced modeling to influence product development and strategic decision-making. Your insights will directly impact the company's bottom line by helping us understand user behavior, optimize product features, and enhance overall user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Design to design experiments, develop key metrics, and generate actionable insights. The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain technology, data-driven decision-making, and eager to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Minimum of a BA/BS degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, experimentation, or product analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data modeling and machine learning libraries.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and practical application in A/B testing, causal inference, and machine learning.
• Experience driving impact through data insights in a digital product environment with iterative development cycles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated alignment with core cultural values such as positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive analyses on products to answer open-ended questions and provide strategic recommendations.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments to measure impact and inform product enhancements.
• Develop and maintain key performance metrics and reports to monitor product and user engagement.
• Enhance data infrastructure to support scalable and efficient analysis capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into product development and strategic planning.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data for new product features, user segmentation, and personalization strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in data science and analytics.
