We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and supporting our overall logistics and supply chain efficiency. You will be instrumental in preventing stockouts, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing warehouse organization. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of inventory management systems will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage and maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and make recommendations for reordering.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all inventory items.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to track inventory movement.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed records.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including the importance of proper lifting techniques and PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
