Join our dedicated logistics team in Detroit, Michigan, as an Order Picker! We are looking for reliable individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve items from our warehouse stock, ensuring every order is picked correctly and prepared for shipment. This role is vital to our supply chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse environment, using technology and following established procedures to meet productivity goals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order details and pick lists.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping aisles clear.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the required use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as needed.
- Meet individual productivity targets for picking speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic logistics principles.
- Understanding of workplace Safety and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and occasional overtime.
Physical Demands:
This job requires considerable physical activity, including prolonged standing and walking. The role involves frequent bending, reaching, and significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE for their Safety. The warehouse environment may have temperature variations.
