We are looking for an efficient and accurate Order Picker to join our logistics team in beautiful San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, ensuring precision and speed. Your contribution is vital to our supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and correct order fulfillment. You will work within a dynamic team environment, focusing on maintaining high standards of performance and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within the picking areas.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or stock issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 lbs, throughout the shift.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
