Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide necessary **PPE**. The ability to handle various types of products and perform moderate **lifting** is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory items for proper storage.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Stage received goods for put-away or direct distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company **safety** guidelines and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with inventory control and reconciliation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and supply chain processes.
- Ability to **lift** up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computers and data entry.
- Understanding of **safety** protocols and the correct use of **PPE**.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
