Become a vital part of our operations as a Distribution Center Associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the efficient movement of goods within our large-scale facility. Your duties will encompass a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and possess the physical capability for tasks involving significant Lifting. As part of our logistics team, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment. We provide a stable work environment with opportunities for advancement and training in various warehouse functions. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, and contributes positively to team goals. Strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the consistent use of required PPE are essential components of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately pick products for customer orders and prepare them for packing.
- Pack items securely, ensuring proper labeling and shipping preparation.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy through regular checks.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Operate various warehouse machinery safely and proficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability for sustained Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical work.
- Good understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in task completion.
- Willingness to comply with all Safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
